Halloween

Halloween is the biggest day of the year for my kids. We were not allowed to have Halloween in our old life. They had no idea there was so much kindness and celebration of children in any place, and it shocked them at first. They did not believe the pageantry, the generosity. Now they ask me all year how long it is until Halloween.
Life is so much better when you can interact with other people. It really is. Thank you to all the people celebrating Halloween and giving compliments, candy, or both to kids in or out of costumes. You give a gift to your community, every year.
American holidays are awesome. So are the people who celebrate them. I am grateful for both.
